InfraStruXureTM Overview
 
The InfraStruXureTM Architecture consists of the following standardized pre-assembled components:
= UPS = Row Expander = Rack Enclosure = PDU

You can connect these components in infinite ways to meet your specific needs.Which components you use, and how you connect those components will depend on:

 
  • The Input Power Requirements
     
  • The total power draw of the Area (see Partitioning for information on Areas)
     
  • The number of enclosures you want to deploy
     
  • Availability Tier preference (see Availability Tiers for information)
     
  • The deployment methodology you prefer
Sample Configurations

 
 

1.Type A InfraStruXureTM (Zoned)

 
The UPS and PDU are configured in one rack supporting three additional equipment racks. The UPS can be a Symmetra 2-6kVA or 4-12kVA unit depending on the load density in the supported enclosures.
 

2. Type A InfraStruXureTM (Zoned)

 
The UPS and PDU are configured in one rack supporting three additional equipment racks. The UPS can be a Symmetra 2-6kVA or 4-12kVA unit depending on the load density in the supported enclosures.
 

3. Type B InfraStruXureTM (Zoned)

 
The UPS and PDU are in individual racks supporting 20 racks of equipment in two rows using cabling ladder. The UPS is a Symmetra PX 40kW unit.

 
 

4. Type C InfraStruXureTM (Centralized)"

 
This sample configuration would be used in a large data center with power requirements of roughly 200kW. The UPS is centralized with a PDU supporting two rows of 31 equipment racks for a total of 124 equipment racks.

 

 

For simplicity sake there are basically three types of InfraStruXureTMs you would deploy.
